Top 10 Best Professional Karaoke Machines Reviews
1 Pyle Bluetooth Karaoke PA Speaker
We have been writing a lot of reviews about Pyle equipment for various environments. They make some very good products, but there is one theme they seem to have with nearly all of them. They do like it loud. No bad thing in the right environment. Karaoke can be one of those places.
This is a compact system, and the first thing you notice is that it is really quite small. It measures just 8 by 8 by 13.6 inches and weighs only seven and a half pounds. This, of course, makes it very portable. It makes you wonder where 600 watts of power actually will come from. But that’s Pyle for you. However, it might be compact, but it is still a professional karaoke setup.
Plenty of connections…
It comes with a wireless microphone and a rechargeable battery and has Bluetooth capability. There is an Aux 3.5mm input that will allow you to connect to any compatible external music sources.
The power is driven by two speakers: a 6.5” subwoofer and a 3” treble speaker. Controls are located on the back of the speaker and include an on/off switch, and a USB port, There is a volume and mic volume with echo control. There is also a ¼” microphone socket and connections for extra speakers and a digital display screen.
Simple yet effective…
It is quite well-equipped but is a very basic machine. It is, therefore, more suited to small gatherings and family parties than anything too ambitious. As it is so compact, it is easy to stand on a table or other unit to elevate it. The sound is powerful, and for the size of the speaker very loud. It is quite suitable for use indoors or outside.
The Pyle Bluetooth Karaoke PA Speaker is a very cost-effective model and one that is worthwhile having at home.
- A big sound with a compact build.
- Very cheap price point.
- It hasn’t enough features for the bigger venues.
2 Pyle PWMA930IBT Wireless Portable PA Speaker System
Another Karaoke setup from Pyle. This one is a little larger and possibly more suited to outdoor use. It has a peak power output of 600 watts and an RMS rating of 300 watts. It is, therefore, able to punch out some volume.
This machine is 14.7 by 10.6 by 11.2 inches and weighs 26.40 pounds, Quite heavy to carry around, so it has been fitted with wheels and a handle to make it portable. Delivering the sound is an 8” woofer.
It is fitted with plenty of options for use…
The operational controls are all located on the front of the speaker. They include two microphone inputs and three guitar or other instrument inputs with standard jack sockets. You can actually run three mics at the sem time if necessary. The unit comes with a dynamic microphone. There are also controls on the front panel for bass and treble. To add some life to the vocals, an echo control is also included.
The unit has Bluetooth compatibility and will operate with iOS and Android devices for bringing in external music sources. The Pyle PWMA930IBT Wireless Portable PA Speaker System could be used indoors, but we feel is more suited to the outdoor party. It hasn’t got the features of a club karaoke machine. However, it does have enough on board to make it great for parties and smaller functions.
Short battery life…
It has a rechargeable battery that provides about 3 hours of battery life. This is quite short, to be honest, so mains power may be required. The quality of the mic is not so brilliant, so you might want to consider upgrading to one of the best wireless microphones currently available. The mic is functional up to a distance of about fifty feet. Also, it does not have a USB connection.
It has a reasonable price point.
- Tough build with wheels and handle for transporting.
- Plenty of input options.
- Mic quality is not so good.
3 ION Audio Tailgater (iPA77)
Ion Audio was established in 2002 and is based in Rhode Island. They provide cost-effective audio products at reasonable prices.
This is a Karaoke machine that has a tough build quality made from composite materials. It has been given corners that reinforced in case of any accidental bumps. It is quite a compact machine being just 9.2 by 12.5 by 13 inches and weighs 17 pounds. And it has a built-in carrying handle.
Loud for the power rating…
It is not particularly loud with a rating of just 50 watts. However, it does seem to be a rather loud 50 watts. Nevertheless, it does seem its best environment will be in an enclosed space rather than outdoors. It does have a switchable bass boost.
One important feature with this machine is the Bluetooth 4,0 compatibility. It will pair up with any other Bluetooth device. Playlists from phones or tablets are then able to be used. The Bluetooth controls operate in the same way as most devices with play, pause, etc. The Bluetooth range is the usual approximately 30 meters from the source.
As an added feature, there is an aux input for an mp3 player or similar and an AF/FM radio. This is quite a functional addition that allows radio stations to be utilized at functions if required.
A microphone but no in-built effects…
The machine comes with a microphone. There is though only one input for a mic on the control panel. Controls are located on the front panel and are very basic. They include a display for the operational status that includes AM/FM information.
Unfortunately, there is nothing in the way of any effects to assist the vocals. The mic quality is also a bit lacking, so the vocal quality for karaoke might be a bit flat. You would get far better vocal results by using any of the best karaoke microphones currently available.
Price-wise it is quite expensive given that it is not high powered and carries no vocal effects.
- Tough build.
- Good Bluetooth and other external connections.
- Limited in its features.
- Quite expensive.
4 Rockville Power GIG RPG-122K
Rockville has built this Karaoke package to try and give the users a real Karaoke experience. A real professional karaoke system.
It is packed with power, generating 1000 watts at its peak. Two cabinets each with a 12” speaker giving 250 watts RMS each. The 12” is a long-throw woofer. It has an aluminum two-inch voice coil. That configuration is going to give you a very loud and clear sound with a deep bass resonance.
As many singers as you like…
In this package are included four handheld cardioid microphones. Being Cardioid, they are unidirectional and very sensitive and so perfect for Karaoke. The receiver is rack-mounted if you wish and features a display for each microphone. To limit feedback and any external interference, it is designed with a filter.
Bluetooth compatibility is good and allows audio from any compatible device. There are also inputs for mp3 playback and a USB port. FM radio is built-in, and it has an LCD screen for operational information. The controls are simple to operate, and there is a remote control unit. This allows you to control what is going on, even from a distance.
Everything you need is included…
It is made with nickel-plated plugs and copper conductors to reduce as many of the bad connection and clarity problems sometimes experienced. It comes with two tripod-like speaker stands and all the cabling and connections. A great package at a reasonable price, we think.
It must be considered one of the Best Professional Karaoke Machines and for the price is excellent value.
- Great package with some good accessories, including speaker stands.
- Powerful output.
- Maybe some effects on the vocals would have been a good addition.
5 Kumyoung KHM-600 Home Party Portable Korean Karaoke Singing Machine System
This is a Korean karaoke machine. It is very simple in design and operation. It gives an indication of the build and design of such machines in the Far East. This particular model is the kind of product that is used extensively in homes in half a dozen countries.
There are two wireless microphones included that may not be of the best quality, but this machine works perfectly. It has a huge memory of 30,000 songs. Approximately 27,000 of those are Korean songs. If you are connected to a TV for the purpose of reading the lyrics, these songs will be written in Korean.
The musical history of Korea in a box…
They cover a large time frame and include popular Korean folk songs from many years ago. This is then continued through to the popular and hugely successful K-Pop music of the modern era.
It also includes some English songs and also a few Japanese. In these cases, the language on the screen will be native to the origin of the music. If it is an English song, it will be written in English, etc.
Plug and play…
This is a great home party system and of course, very portable. It is just a case of plug and play and then sing away. No further hardware is required. If you are going to use the TV for displaying lyrics, then you will need to buy an HDMI lead.
You can record and add your own music using mp3 files or purchase more and extensive song packs. It has an easy song search facility, and the included video graphics for display are easy to use.
How good is you’re Korean?
We perhaps ought to mention that the user manual is written in Korean. It is a great system but obviously is suited to Korean speakers. However, the inclusion of some Western music and the option to download more for use makes it an attractive machine.
Gangnam style refers to a particular lifestyle and people in the trendy part of Seoul that exudes a certain chic. Are you ready to join them? Fun machine and great for parties, even though it is rather expensive.
- Packed with music, lyrics, and other options.
- Simple operation with no extra hardware needed.
- Most of it is in the Korean language, so Westerners may struggle a bit.
6 Acesonic KOD-2800 Karaoke Machine
Acesonic is what has become a large manufacturer of karaoke equipment. They are based in California but also have offices in Taiwan and China. They produce a wide range of karaoke equipment, some of it at the top end. You cannot buy from the company you need to identify a retail partner, of which there are many.
The KOD-2800 is a huge machine, and we don’t mean physically and is very much like the karaoke machines you will find in dedicated karaoke clubs in Asia. It incorporates a strong build with a metal frame that is tough enough to withstand heavy usage.
Massive song library…
The Acesonic KOD-2800 Karaoke Machine comes with over 160,000 Chinese songs preloaded on its 20TB dual hard drives and comes in both Chinese and English language versions. It has high definition video capability and dual on-screen navigation. Searching for songs and the display for the lyrics are all on the same screen.
You can download new releases, specially prepared for karaoke use via Acesonics cloud server. It is compatible with Android and Apple and has Apps for both.
The controls are all on the front of the receiver and are user-friendly. There is a remote control included. The screen is mounted on an attractive purpose-built stand. This is a serious machine and certainly not for using at home for some fun.
Is it expensive? Compared to the other machines we are reviewing, very. But then the others do not have the facilities that this machine has. Therefore, if you are looking for a professional karaoke machine with songs, you might not need to look any further?
- A huge database of preloaded songs and lyrics.
- Well made with a durable metal build.
- The price will scare some people.
7 Pyle Outdoor Portable Wireless Bluetooth Karaoke
Another offering for the world of karaoke from Pyle. This is a portable system weighing just over 20 pounds. It isn’t physically large at 14 by 24 by 14.5 inches/ It has a handle that retracts into the body and is on wheels, making it is easy to carry around.
This machine is packed with features but is still best suited for home and small party use. It has a peak power performance of 500 watts, so we can expect approximately 250 watts RMS.
A choice of microphones…
That is plenty loud enough for a gathering outside the house. Delivering the sound is an 8-inch subwoofer that is typical of Pyle power. With this system, you get a handheld microphone, a best Lavalier mic, and a headset microphone. There is also a belt-pack transmitter.
The party atmosphere is given quite a boost by the onboard flashing lights. It has Bluetooth compatibility with a range that will extend up to 65 feet. You can use the enclosed power adapter for the recharge. Controls are all placed on the top of the unit and are easy to use.
This is a great little machine for home parties and very small venues and comes with a lot of features. Not really what you would call a professional karaoke machine but excellent value for money.
- Loaded with features including lights.
- Cost-effective price point.
- Only suitable really for home or very small venue use.
8 Akai KS800-BT Bluetooth Front Load CD&G Karaoke System
In Japan, Akai makes some of the largest and most powerful professional karaoke systems. They also make smaller systems for the home, and this is one of those. This is a smaller Japanese karaoke machine. It weighs just seven pounds and measures just 7.9 by 12.6 by 17.3 inches. This makes it extremely portable,
It certainly has the look of its big cousins with its screen and front-loading CD. It only carries 10 watts of power, but for what this machine is designed for, that is enough. However, it might not be enough for outdoor use but for indoors perfectly adequate.
Cradles your tablet…
It has a centrally-placed seven-inch color display for displaying the lyrics. However, if you prefer, it can be connected to a TV. Cables for connection are supplied. On top, there is a convenient space to fit your tablet, either Apple or Android.
Recording options are available using the USB port, and you can download if you choose. It plays CD&G karaoke discs and music CDs in the front-loader, and the machine is compatible with CD, CDG, CDR, and MP3.
It is Bluetooth compatible and will pair up with your enabled phone or tablet so you can use your favorite playlists. Or you can use your USB stick for more playback options.
Change the key…
It has some extra options that some machines do not give you. A key change facility is an important one. Not everyone sings in the same key as the record. It comes with a wired microphone and a demo CD&G. They also provide a little echo effect to help the voice.
Controls are easy and well-positioned on the front of the unit. There are controls for the Karaoke discs that are used as an ordinary CD player. There is also a Master Volume and Balance control and mic volume and the echo control.
A super little system for small parties at home and at a great price point.
- Lots of features built-in and a great price.
- It looks the part with its color screen.
- Some may want more volume for bigger venues.
